Why build tiny houses in school? Tiny Houses represent a dynamic application of design and problem solving in integrative STEM education, and introduces students to sustainable concepts and community service.
Purpose
The UNI Tiny House project is designed to engage UNI students with community and faith-based organizations addressing homelessness within the academic curicula. The specific purpose of this project is to develop a template that can be replicated in high schools as well as colleges and universities.
Curriculum
This project intentionally integrates math and science content into a technology and engineer course focuses on architecture and construction. The majority of students involved with the project will become technology and engineering teachers. All curriculum is availible for download and modification.
